 Welcome to the home of Mallard Lane Labradors, where we have been successfully breeding quality AKC registered Chocolate, Silver and Black labs since 1977.
Located in the heart of Wisconsin, on the Big Eau Pleine Reservoir, our quest here is to produce quality pups, paying close attention to bloodlines, health, and socialization skills. We strive to produce pups that become great companions, good hunters and excellent family dogs with good dispositions.
Raising pups is enjoyed by all family members. We spend quality time with each of our dogs and their litters. We are not into volume so we have at most 3 - 4 litters per year. All of our pups are given lots of attention, are handled frequently, and become very loving and socialized dogs.
As far as hunting goes, down through the generations our bloodlines have produced excellent hunters with great instincts that are very trainable. Our dogs love to carry something in their mouths all the time; a ball, a toy or their favorite stick, staying close by you in case you are in the mood to play. What great companions and friends they can become.
Their heart for hunting and retrieving is huge and they will retrieve until YOU are tired or your arm falls off... whichever comes first! The pups are also introduced to the water (weather permitting in Wisconsin) and invited to play with balls, sticks and an occasional partridge or duck feather before they leave us.
